Dr. Berry has been working with Howard University Continuing
Education (HUCE) for 20 years and has been its Director for the past
nine years. She has a plethora of experience in the educational field
including teaching and administrative positions at Columbus College
in Georgia, the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), and
Anacostia High School (Washington, DC). She began working at HUCE
as an Assistant Dean in 1986. Later, she was appointed to the position
of Associate Dean. After HUCE was restructured in 1997, Dr. Berry
became Director, overseeing its various programs, departments, and
personnel. She received her BS in Biology from Bennett College, her
Masters Degree in Zoology from Howard University, and her Ph.D. in
Zoology from the University of Maine. Dr. Berry believes that one
of her most rewarding accomplishments is helping people from all
walks of life and cultures achieve their goals.

Dr. King has served as the Program Manager for the OIP since
its inception in 1993. Her areas of expertise include Pharmacy and
Public Health Practices, International Health and Development, Continuing
Professional Development, Health Services Administration and Program
Evaluation. Some of Dr. King's many responsibilities include managing
the staff and programs in the OIP, and directing international pharmaceutical
projects in the PACE Center. She has had more than 30 years of experience
in the Health sector including multiple positions at Howard University,
serving as Director of the International Health Institute and Associate
Professor at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science, and Public
Health Advisor at USAID. Her vast international affiliations include
United States Pharmacopoeia and World Vision. Dr. King received her
BS at Duquesne University, her Master of Public Health degree from
the University of California Los Angeles and her doctorate in Pharmacy
from the University of Southern California. With her many publications,
awards, and honors, Dr. King is an invaluable component of the OIP.

Grace Jennings, PhD

In her role as the Project Coordinator, Dr. Jennings oversees
the GHAIN and ROADS projects, two of the current Pharmacy-related HIV/AIDS
programs at the OIP. She manages various components of the projects including
staff, budget, day-to-day administrative activities, and on-site trainings.
Dr. Jennings has traveled to Abuja, Nigeria multiple times as part of the GHAIN
project and utilized her expertise to provide individualized, and general program
assistance. She received her BA and Masters Degrees at Howard University in
the field of Mass Communications and TV Broadcasting. She earned her PH.D.
in International Education, Curriculum Instruction and Communications at Ohio
University. Prior to her position at the OIP, Dr. Jennings worked in HUCE's
Credit Division. She also worked with international students transitioning
to life in the United States. Dr. Jennings states that her greatest professional
reward is the opportunity to serve others and in doing so helping to make a
positive difference in their daily lives. |

Christina Flood has been working part-time as the OIP Budget Analyst
since 2004. Her primary responsibility is overseeing the budgeting
and purchasing for the Program. Ms. Flood also has 17 years experience
at Union Privilege, assisting in administration, budgeting, HR, facilities
and telecommunications duties.

Janine Cannon recently joined the OIP as an administrative
assistant. Her responsibilities include tracking document files
and maintaining records for the GHAIN and ROADS projects. She earned
her BS in Biology from Howard University. She plans to enter medical
school and become a surgeon in the future. |

Earnest Johnson serves as staff consultant for the GHAIN project. He
provides his vast pharmaceutical expertise and knowledge to the project,
and also travels to Abuja, Nigeria to help set standards for pharmacy
practices and procedures. Before his consultancy at Howard University,
Mr. Johnson worked for Providence Hospital in Washington, DC for over
30 years, serving as staff pharmacist, Assistant Director of Pharmacy,
and Director of Pharmacy Services. As part of his duties, he managed
a staff of 35-40 people, coordinated the efforts of the pharmacy division,
and provided drug education to his patients and staff. Mr. Johnson
received his BS in Pharmacy from Howard University. His biggest reward
from his current role is the ability to see how the field of pharmacy
is practiced in other parts of the world.
