Mission

Established in April 1986, Howard University Continuing Education (HUCE) provides exceptional training and development services designed to maximize the professional and personal development of individuals and organizations.  As the university-wide continuing education component of Howard University, HUCE draws from the University's rich and diverse resources to create innovative educational opportunities in a wide variety of formats.

Capabilities
Howard University is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

HUCE itself is recognized by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) as an Authorized Provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs), a distinction shared by a select group of Continuing Education programs.

HUCE's collaboration with schools and colleges in Howard University and with external organizations gives it access to a wide range of experienced professors and experts from commerce and industry.   HUCE mobilizes this expertise to provide training in its state-of-the-art facilities in Silver Spring, at the University's other locations in Washington, DC, and in remote locations worldwide. HUCE offers courses for individual students but also provides customized training under grants and contracts for the employees of government agencies and private firms.
