General Program
Information
This initiative, begun
in the Spring 1986, is designed to provide Continuing Education
students with an opportunity to:
-
Explore
new fields of study without committing to a degree;
- Pursue continuing education
for personal and professional growth; and
-
Re-establish
an academic record if they have been out of school.
All Continuing
Education applicants are required to:
-
Satisfy all
prerequisites for the course(s);
-
Obtain the consent
of the appropriate department;
-
In courses with a
limited capacity, be admitted on a space available basis;
-
Register during the
late registration period;
-
Pay application fee
(for new students only), tuition and any other applicable
fees;
-
Receive
validation.
Applicability of a course toward a degree will depend largely
on the acceptance and approval of the Dean and faculty of the
appropriate school or college. Credit for academic courses
taken by the Continuing Education student may not be applied toward
a degree.
