Discounts for Teachers and Administrators           

Prospective students who are full time or substitute teachers or administrators in public or private elementary and secondary schools may enroll in either undergraduate or graduate credit courses at a reduced rate. 

This cost reduction is designed to encourage area school teachers and administrators to enhance their skills and competencies for successful performance on certification examinations and the long term desired value of providing better instruction for area students.

HU Employees-Remission of Tuition 

Employees of Howard University qualify for full remission of tuition in this program as long as the courses do not exceed eight credits per semester per employee.  However, participation of employees shall be based primarily on space availability after minimum enrollment levels have been met by paying participants. 

In cases where the tuition fees include text and/or materials, employees will be responsible for cost of text and/or materials.  Continuing Education students must be approved for classes before applying to have Remission of Tuition.  For further information, please read HU policy on remission of tuition on the HU website www.howard.edu.
